- Completion of clearing and construction work along Pimelea Crescent in early April 2024.
- Testing, commissioning, and reinstatement works along Pimelea Crescent, with ongoing works in nearby areas up until August.
- Removal of vegetation for essential works.

Vegetation planting
As part of Council's commitment to environmental sustainability, vegetation planting is now scheduled to occur to replace what was lost. The planting will follow a Concept Rehabilitation Management Plan (CRMP), ensuring ecological restoration and site stability. This initative gives Council an opportunity to introduce species that are highly suitable for the area and its habitats.
Rehabilitation plan
A Concept Rehabilitation Management Plan (CRMP) has been specifically prepared for the project. The project has been split up into the three management zones shown below, with different replanting requirements. Trees are required to be setback 3m from all property boundaries and service alignments for the purpose of access and minimising damage to fences and services.
-
Management zone 1 requires a variety of native trees (Broad-leaved Paperbark, Swamp Box, Forest Red Gum, and Umbrella Cheese Tree), shrubs, and grasses to be planted. Trees are required to be setback 3m from all property boundaries and service alignments for the purpose of access and minimising damage to fences and services.
-
Management zone 2 requires a different variety of native trees (Broad-leaved Paperbark, Swamp Box, Forest Red Gum, Pink Bloodwood, Black She-oak, Tallowwood, Brush Box, and Umbrella Cheese Tree), shrubs, and grasses to be planted. Note, trees are required to be setback 3m from all property boundaries and service alignments for the purpose of access and minimising damage to fences and services.
-
Management zone 3 requires a variety of native shrubs and grasses to be planted.
