Katrina - Operations Manager Redland IndigiScapes Centre
Ever since she was little, Katrina has hiked the bushland tracks of Redlands Coast and kayaked its waterways too - from the upper reaches of Tingalpa Creek all the way to Redland Bay. Katrina is a Redlands Coast local to her core. She couldn’t feel more love for this scenic patch of coastland.
Since September 2020, Katrina’s played an important role in helping others discover the natural beauty of the region, too. Katrina is Operations Manager of our IndigiScapes Centre – a unique environmental education centre set on 14 hectares of beautiful bushland. With towering tallowwoods, walking trails and native gardens, Katrina feels she couldn’t have found a better workplace.
“I pinch myself regularly. I can’t believe I scored this job in nature at the environmental centre helping people connect with nature and empowering people in the team - I’m very, very fortunate to get to do this.”
Katrina has always been strongly motivated to help her community. She founded her own not-for-profit to support women in 2008 and takes pride in ensuring the IndigiScapes Centre is kept immaculate for staff and visitors alike to enjoy. Katrina wants everyone to see that her team takes pride in their workplace and in making a positive contribution.
“The entire team here is passionate and excited to be here. I set an expectation but I don’t have to reinforce it constantly because the team wants that for themselves.”
It’s clear the crew at IndigiScapes appreciates having Katrina at the helm as much as she enjoys working with them.
“I now have a work family. I work with some beautiful people, and I love connecting with a team who are so committed to serving their community.”
