Information for potential lessees
The Community Leasing of Council Owned Land and Facilities Information Kit [PDF, 3.0MB] has been developed to assist organisations with preparing an application to lease Council land or facilities. It also includes information about responsibilities of a lessee including charges, maintenance, alterations and reporting. Once you have reviewed the information kit, you can download a land and facilities application form for consideration by Council's Community Land and Facilities Panel.
Community gardens are often located on Council land. The Community Gardens Information Kit provides guidance on establishing community gardens, including the need to consult with Council about a suitable location. General locations are recommended in Council's Open Space Strategy.
