Council coordinates and participates in a wide range of groups, networks and forums on topics as diverse as coastal erosion, early childhood development, disability services, tourism and the arts.
These groups are established when Council needs to:
- work directly with or partner with the public and other stakeholders throughout a process
- ensure concerns and aspirations are consistently understood and considered
- develop alternatives and identify a preferred solution.
These groups are established in good faith and based on three key foundation principles that engagement is values-based, decision-oriented and driven by clear goals.
