Let’s deliver Council’s State Election Priorities 2024
Redland City Council has created an advocacy document Redland City Council State Election Priorities 2024 [PDF 2MB] seeking a commitment from incoming State Government candidates to partner with them to deliver 10 priorities considered essential to supporting the Redlands Coast community.
The document has been created on a foundation of collaboration and partnership. It identifies 10 priorities that will support the health and wellbeing of all community members, boost our local economy and create more jobs, and help people travel around our beautiful city and surrounding areas safer and faster.
The 10 priorities are:
- Weinam Creek transport connectivity
- Redlands Coast islands
- Brisbane Metro network extension
- Toondah Harbour
- Housing for vulnerable communities
- Improved clarity on Native Title process
- Wellington Street / Panorama Drive upgrades
- Community residence
- Increased utilisation of State-owned sporting facilities
- Local health services maintained in line with population growth.
Our way forward
Since the State Election, Council is now focusing on further developing partnerships with the new State Government and working together to deliver outcomes for our community.
