Alexandra Hills - PDG-46469 - Cnr Crown Rd & William St, Alexandra Hills - Drainage Renewal
Wednesday, 29th January 2025Redland City Councils internal construction crews with assistance from contractors will be completing drainage upgrades to the corner of Crown Road and William Street, Alexandra Hills QLD 4161. Works will involve, but not limited to: • Extension of existing drainage pipe • Installation of a headwall • Construction of rock scour protection • Reinstatement of weld mesh fence • Relocate sewer pump station overflow pipe to suit new headwall location including new overflow manhole as detailed. Timeline: 12th November 2024 to 28th February 2025. This completion date may change over the course of the project due to wet weather and resultant poor site conditions.

Birkdale - PDG-43849-1 - Park Upgrade - Harrogate Park Birkdale
Thursday, 19th December 2024Redland City Council Contractors will be undertaking installation of Primary play unit with climbing, sliding, balancing and upper body strength. Rotating net, trail play for balancing, double swing, and spring toy. Bike track equipment will include bike whoops, ditch ride, tight rope, and corrugations levels. Shelter, table setting, tap, seat, bollards, landscaping, and turf to disturbed area. Removal of play equipment, seating, and bollards that are in poor condition and associated works. Birkdale - PDG-43649-1 - Park Rewewal - Leicester Street Park Birkdale
Thursday, 19th December 2024Redland City Council Contractors will be undertaking the installation of a shelter accompanied by a table setting and a screen with dragonfly imagery. Hopscotch linemarking along the pathway, water point equipped with dog bowl and park signage. Sandstone boulders showcasing carvings of a leaf cutter bee, golden orb spider, blue-tongued skink lizard and short beaked echidna. Turf restoration in areas that have been disrupted and removal of play equipment and edging that are in poor condition and associated works. Monday, 13th January 2025Redland City Council Contractors will be undertaking installation of a new play unit featuring, climbing, sliding, and balancing elements, complemented by a double swing, bee themed rocker and a leg roller. Water point equipped with dog bowl, additional seating, shade sail, bollards, bin enclosure, park signage. Turf restoration in areas that have been disrupted. Removal of poor conditioned play equipment, seating, bollards and edging and associated works. Birkdale & Redland Bay - PDG-63207-1 & 63208-1 - Northern & Southern Repeater Upgrades - Birkdale & Redland Bay
Sunday, 15th December 2024Redland City Council Contractors will be undertaking the installation of new radio telemetry repeater panels on new concrete slabs, replacing coaxial cables, and new coaxial cables and antennas at the Birkdale Waste Transfer Station, and at the Giles Road Reservoir Compound. Additionally at the Giles Road site, a new property pole will be installed with associated changes to consumer mains routing and the site metering and distribution board will be replaced which supplies electricity to the whole site including Telstra’s mobile network tower and other 3rd party network infrastructure.

Thursday, 13th February 2025Redland City Council Contractors will be undertaking Installation of Play Unit with slide and climbing. Double Swing and spinning seesaw. Walk the wiggly line, mirror me, and hopscotch stencil to pathway. Shade sail, seating, water point with dog bowl, park name sign, landscaping and new turf for areas that have disrupted. Cleveland - PDG-20276-4 - Redlands Performing Arts Centre (RPAC) Forecourt Construction
Tuesday, 3rd December 2024Redland City Council Contractors will - • Demolish and remove the existing forecourt roofs; • Retain and protect the existing feature trees on the RPAC footpath; • Construct: o New Stairs, ramps and access points, o Reconfiguration of the pedestrian access to the main buildings including associated civil and landscaping works; o Awning and trellis construction; o Alfresco deck and seating; o Lighting upgrading; o Stormwater drainage treatment; o Electrical upgrade; and o Signage. Tuesday, 21st January 2025Redland City Council Contractors will be undertaking the construction of a new concrete pathway, new kerb ramps, upgrading existing pram ramps, replacement, and adjustment of some existing bollards, pruning of trees, turf to disturbed areas and associated works. Cleveland - PDG-63038-2 - Switchboard Renewal Upgrades - SPS141 South Street, Cleveland
Wednesday, 19th February 2025Description of Works: Redland City Council Contractors will be designing, constructing and installing a new switchboard, new disconnect box, new odour control unit including new vent pole, new concrete slabs, wider driveway, new fencing, bollards & gates, new stormwater pits (site drainage), and new antenna pole. Timeline: 10th February through to 25th July 2025, 7.00am to 6.00pm. This completion date may change over the course of the project due to wet weather and resultant poor site conditions. Mount Cotton - PDG-63040-1 - Switchboard Renewal Upgrades – Mt Cotton WWTP Filtrate Switchboard
Wednesday, 19th February 2025Description of Works: Redland City Council Contractors will be designing, constructing and installing a new switchboard, new concrete slab for switchboard and disconnect box, replacing the existing power and control cables from the Main Switchboard (MSB) to the Filtrate Switchboard and updating electrical drawings. Timeline: 17th February through to 28th March 2025, 7.00am to 6.00pm. This completion date may change over the course of the project due to wet weather and resultant poor site conditions. Thursday, 14th November 2024Redland City Council Contractors will be undertaking dredging and removal of accumulated sediment within Weinam Creek, Redland Bay. Redland City Council Contractors will also be undertaking associated environmental monitoring and survey as required during the dredging works within Weinam Creek, Redland Bay. Wednesday, 29th January 2025Redland City Councils internal construction crews with assistance from contractors will be completing kerb & channel expansion to Hull Street, Thorneside QLD 4158. Thornlands - PDG-46367 - Ribonwood Street, Thornlands - Drainage Improvements
Wednesday, 29th January 2025Redland City Council’s internal construction crews with assistance from contractors will be undertaking drainage improvements at 20 Ribonwood Street, Thornlands. These will involve the following, but not limited to: • Minor clearing of vegetation within the reserve at 2-18 King Street, Thornlands to allow Council Staff and Contractors access to install stormwater pipes (450mm in diameter) in the newly acquired easement behind 108 Cleveland-Redland Bay Road, Thornlands. • Installation of a pre-cast V drainage system across the driveway access which services houses 22a & 22b Ribonwood Street. • Creation of a bund wall at 20 Ribonwood Street to elevate flooding issues to the houses on the lower side of the area funneling water away from the houses. Timeline: 29th October 2024 through to End of January 2025. This completion date may change over the course of the project due to wet weather and resultant poor site conditions.
