Redlands Coast has a number of community gardens. Community gardens can fulfil a variety of functions including the enhancement of healthy lifestyles and good nutrition, reduction in social isolation, encouraging a sense of place, improving local food security and managment of public spaces.
Interested residents are encouraged to connect with the relevant community garden group:

- Russell Island – Russell Island Community Garden
- Karragarra Island – Karragarra Island Community Garden
