Parking at Weinam Creek

Weinam Creek at Redland Bay gateway to the Southern Moreton Bay Islands, including Macleay, Lamb, Karragarra and Russell Islands.

The Weinam Creek precinct was declared a Priority Development Area (PDA) in 2013. Stage 1 of the project delivered more than 500 new car parks to the area within the Moores Rd car park.

The area remains under construction and parking will continue to evolve while the project takes shape. It is important to continue to monitor parking and construction signage signage during this time.

Public unpaid parking

Locations

Public unpaid parking is located in and around the:

  • Weinam Creek ferry terminal
  • Moores Rd car park
  • Banana Street temporary car park
  • Barge terminal

Restrictions and signage

Areas of Weinam Creek have various time restrictions, from loading zones to a few hours and even 7 days. Additionally, some spaces are shared by boat trailers and vehicles at certain times.

It is vital to check the signage carefully to avoid a parking fine.

Here are some examples of signage you will find at these parking locations:

Future parking plans

Since being declared a PDA in 2013, Consolidated Properties Group has been announced as Council's preferred development partner to assist in delivering a new multi-storey car park, located near the Marina ferry terminal. Plans for the multi-storey car park are currently being finalised.

More details on this will become available as the detailed design phase is completed.
